About Rev Anne

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous?

Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you.

We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us.

It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone.

And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others. -  Marianne Williamson

Walk with me, if you will, into the past decade …

Since 2000, many people have gone through life-changing experiences.  (Are you one of them?)  In 9/11/2001, our country went through a life-changing experience.

When we are offered an opportunity to grow, we get to choose how we will respond:  love or hate.  Forgiveness or bitterness.  Peace or drama.

In 2000, I was given this choice.  Through the course of my “Trauma Drama,” as I like to call it these days, I realized something profoundly important: I am a holy child of the Divine.  You are a holy child of the Divine.  There are no victims, other than what is created in our own mind.  Each interaction we have with one another is one wherein we can choose the high road or the low road.

And in that choice, we create our own heaven on earth or our own hell on earth.

(It only took me … well, let’s just say it was a while before I realized this more than just intellectually.)  :)

So, as I said, I was deeply enmeshed in the Trauma Drama.  Anger, bitterness, frustration, guilt, shame, shock, sorrow, hurt, horror were companions of mine, and I had no idea how to be free of them.

For two and a half years I sought healing.  I wanted to feel better, but I didn’t know how.  I gardened.  I journaled.  I meditated.  I prayed.  I walked.  I went to different therapists desperate to feel better.  And I became trained in the modalities I most resonated with.  (See below.)  All of them helped by soothing my pain, but they didn’t eliminate it.

(My beautiful garden)

Until one day, I discovered an incredible tool named EFT (the Emotional Freedom Technique).  In one day, I released the pain, grief, guilt (most of it), sorrow, hurt, shame, and began to feel … shock! … joy again!  To experience joy after two and a half years of sorrow was truly astonishing.

I immersed myself in this amazing tool and became a devout student.  I began to use it on my clients, and saw miraculous healings, amazing shifts in their energy, their beliefs, and their lives.

Here’s the thing:  I discovered HOW to become free from my painful past, from the thoughts I had which kept me a slave to that pain.  I discovered HOW to walk in hope, joy and peace.  I discovered HOW to co-create my life with the Divine.  And you can, too.  Everyone can.

We just have to practice a new way of being.  We just have to learn how to free ourselves from our own attachment to negative thinking.  We just have to practice it over and over and over and over and over again until it becomes our very being (like any skill you learn).

And then, voila!  A whole new life opens up for you, and for me!  New opportunities.  New love.  New friends.  New beauty.  New health.  New abundance.  New peace.  New joy.  New, new, new … everything!  Because we are new!

And that, dear one, is the magic of thinking it into being!

Thank you. I love you. Forgive me. I’m sorry.

Here are some of the things I’ve done in my work (in case you’re interested)

  • Created the CD series “Think it… Be it… See it!” (go to http://ThinkitBeitSeeit.com)
  • Created my signature system, “11 Steps to Creating Your Divine Life … Stepping Into the Magic of You!”
  • Created my ezine, “Thinkin’ It Into Bein’!”
  • Created the “SOAR!” workshop
  • Created lots of other workshops and teleclasses, offered at places like continuing ed, alternative health practitioners’ offices and New Thought churches
  • Spoken at bunches of places introducing people to EFT
  • Worked with hundreds (thousands?) of people in helping them release their past and create their divine lives

I also create SpiritSilks, beautiful silks whose colors and styles are given to me in meditation for the person who has commissioned these sacred, wearable art forms.  The silks are specifically created with the colors, designs and energies that that person is needing to integrate into their lives assimilated into the silk.

My first-ever SpiritSilk, in 2002.  The colors are deep and rich; this Silk is my reminder that even in the worst of situations, beauty exists, and sacredness is present.

One final thing.  A lot of people are interested in learning a little more about the depth of my “Trauma Drama.”  To give you an idea of what was going on … well, here goes:

Thank you. I love you. Forgive me. I’m sorry.

The story was on the front page of Charlottesville’s (VA) Sunday Daily Progress in 2003.  It was then picked up by the Associated Press and published all over the country.  In the spring of 2005, CNN’s Paula Zahn interviewed my daughter and me for her nighttime show.  Law & Order actually created a storyline from it!  (Good grief!)  Then in early 2006, the BBC did a special on this, and again, Christina and I were extensively interviewed for an hour-long program.

The story itself, while juicy, isn’t significant beyond the lessons it offers:  what choices have we made as a result of living it.  We ALL have stories that we have lived.  The question for us is this: what we do with our stories and how do we choosing to heal?  What is important is whether or not we choose compassion for ourselves and others as a result of our experiences.

Our stuff and stories (translated: baggage and pain) is not important.  What is important is this: what are our lessons from this experience?  What wisdom did we gained?  Have we re-claimed our innocence?  Did we choose love or anger?  Forgiveness or bitterness?  Peace or drama?

In my opinion, that is what is important.
